Trust me… just trust me…

First State of the Union speech by President Obama: ‘We face a deficit of trust’

Hmmmm…. what could be the cause of that???

Then there is the bullshit statement on the lobbyists…  Except if you give them a waiver…

I watched the speech, now I wish that I had just popped in the new Star Trek DVD.  If I am going to watch some fiction, it might as well be enjoyable fiction.

Porn is mainstream, and religion is the new Porn.

Published by John Gibson under Politics, Religion

I remember back when I was a kid, that porn was kept behind the counter, well ok… it was on the top shelf, and it was covered, but for a 7 year old kid you couldn’t reach it unless you stretched real hard.  The hard core stuff was kept in the seedy part of town, and you actually had to go and get it, or if it was delievered it was mailed in plain brown envelopes where no one knew what you were getting.

Porn was around, but it was something that you had to seek out.  You had to find outlets for it.  You had to search.

Fast forward to today, we are now seeing a push to make religion private, keep it to ourselves.  We are not allowed to be religious in public.

So when will the time come when we have to go to the seedy part of town to go to Church?  When bibles are religious magazines are sent out in plain brown wrappers?

I don’t think it is too far away.

Ok… This troubles me…

Published by John Gibson under Politics, Prolife

JUSTICE GINSBURG: Yes, the ruling about that surprised me. [Harris v. McRae — in 1980 the court upheld the Hyde Amendment, which forbids the use of Medicaid for abortions.] Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.

So we have a liberal justice saying that Roe was really to reduce the populations that we don’t want to have too many of…  Ok… So what is that population?

This sounds down right racist to me.

“We don’t want to many of THEM people around….”

What really troubles me is the eugenic mindset that is inherently ingrained in those who enthusiastically support abortion.  But there is a larger eugenic mindset in the American Culture today that says “All Children must be perfect.”

I remember when my wife and I were expecting our first child.  We were told there was a chance of down’s syndrome.  WE struggled with that, but at no time did we consider abortion to be a option, what we struggled with was the possibility of having to raise a child who was developmentally disabled.

I truly pray that one day we embrace the idea that children are a gift, rather than a by product of sex.

When you go to the polls remember this when thinking about all the Promises that are made

Fact is both Barack Obama, and John McCain cannot promise anything that they will be able to deliever.  The reason is this, we are simply in too large of a debt to actually fund more programs.  Universal Health Care, and all of the wonderful things that are being spouted are just truly bullshit.

This is one reason why it is time to rethink politics in the United States.  The time for party loyality is over, both parties are spending us into oblivion and the fact is our Kids will be the ones that will hurt the most.

The Gentleman in the video is the head accountant of the United States.  Maybe we should listen to him, but I don’t think it will help.
